We don't do a whole lot of TV watching and don't have a favorite show that we just have to tune in to
every week. We do have some favorites that if we can catch we will. That would be mostly me. I
enjoy Fox News, HGTV, the Dog Whisperer and once in a while a crime show or court tv, or an ER
show. Paul enjoys the races and the speed channel, and the wrestling channel until I walk into the
room.
Neither one of us is too athletic so as far as a favorite outdoor activity that we do together, there is
none. Paul likes to golf but my favorite thing to do outdoors would be to sit on the deck with a glass
of ice tea or a cup of coffee and just enjoy the sun. Inside, just decorating my house and pondering
and dreaming about it is just as enjoyable. Someday I hope to be able to quit dreaming and just
enjoy the reality!

Paul and I have a rather mundane existence at the moment. There doesn't seem to
be a whole lot happening but we are always busy! Right after Christmas we traveled
to Houston, Texas to Brenda's to do some handyman and decorating things. On the
way back we stopped off at Lois and Tom Zimmerman's for a short visit and ended
up staying twice as long due to the ice storm. It was wonderful and they were so
gracious. They even gave up their sleep number bed to Paul and I. We don't have
any travel plans in the very near future but I am planning to travel back to Houston with
Nancy for Brenda's graduation for her Masters Degree and do a little more decorating
and spending of Brenda's money.

It seems we do a fair amount of eating out when ever we go to Mankato but I don't know as
we have a favorite. There are a few new eating establishments we like to try such as the
Olive Garden and Famous Daves as well as the Green Mill. We always enjoy the China
Garden and either Applebees or TGI Fridays or the old stand- by of Jakes Pizza. I don't
know as we have any favorite foods but we both enjoy a good steak. I suppose I could get
by with saying that ice cream is a favorite of Paul's since he seems to devour a gallon in a
short amount of time. Vanilla with chocolate. Our new found activity that we are doing
together is working on the upstairs of our home. We have been wanting to get to it for
some years and are finally beginning it. With Paul being laid off he has felt more like
tackling it. Now I don't know if I want him to go back to work until it gets done!! Whenever
possible I like to be of service if I can to ones that might need me to do some care-giving.
In the past year I have been able to care for two friends until they passed away.
Neither one of us belong to any club or organization. The thing that we do
weekly together is attend churh services at River Valley Christian Church in
New Ulm. I am on the board there but we are always tapping Paul for his
expertise. Or someone is. I prepare the service and bulletins weekly and play
the piano. Outside of church it is always fun to get together with my coffee
friends! They are a great bunch of ladies!!! And Paul and I have local area
friends besides our church friends that we enjoy getting together with as well.
Molly, our eight year old Maltese is our companion these days. She came on
board nine months before Beau left us. Paul didn't want any more dogs but
Chris needed a home for Molly and here is where she came. You would
never pry her away from Paul now. She loves going next door to grandpa and
grandma's house and of course ride with Shari whenever she can con her
into one. It doesn't take much to break Shari.
