Jim Burns (cousin Pam's husband) is in the intensive care unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He is having
tests done. He is retaining fluids. His liver biopsy shows infections and a type of lymphoma. He
has a problem with his lungs, also. He has tubes in his neck and arms for blood. Please pray for
Jim and his family as they go through this difficult time.

Larry Davis has just learned that he has adenocarcoma(cancer) of the colon and will be going to
Rochester next week for tests and a surgery that will be scheduled as soon as the tests are
complete. From listening to the doctor I think he believes that the cancer has probably metastasized
to the liver but only further testing will confirm that. Please pray that the cancer has not spread and
that he will not need a colostomy. Larry is preparing his mind for the worst case scenario but will be
very happy if our prayers are answered!! His first appointment in Rochester is the 20th

Dear Friends and Family
Just a note to let you know that Kayden did have a seizure at around 4am this morning.
She had some mini-seizures or breakthrough seizures (official term) fri night & sat night so
we figured one was coming. It didnt last as long b/c we gave her the Diastat pretty early
into it, but it is still scary. Please pray for Kayden and that God will stop these seizures.
Thanks

Betty Escritt was to have hernia surgery tomorrow but they have put it off for a month
in order to put in a defibrillator tomorrow. She already has a pace maker. Hopefully
in a month she will be able to go ahead with the hernia surgery.

I have a prayer request for Evelyn’s Emmitt. He has a urinary tract infection, and needs to have two tumors removed
from his back. She’s really hoping he will feel better before she leaves on Monday to come to Minnesota, and that
the doctor will decide the surgery for the tumors can wait until she returns.
--Brenda
Update on Emmitt – Evelyn has dropped him off this morning Wednesday) for his surgery. His UTI did not get
better, so they are going to put him under which makes Evelyn nervous, do a catheter, remove the tumors while he’
s there. His doctor, Anne, has been his doctor for several years and is a Christian. She will be testing for leukemia.
We would just appreciate everyone’s prayers.
I have a prayer request for Steve's mom. She was kicked by a horse in the leg about a week ago. At the
time they told her it wasn't broken and to my knowledge didn't do much else to check it. Apparently it was
hurting more and more and the swelling was not going down. So they took her to the doc yesterday.
Found out that she has a blood clot. I dont' know much else right now. I'm waiting to hear from Steve. He
took off to Missouri with Evan and Joey to go see her. Please pray for her and the doctors.

Due to recent decline in enrollment, as is the case in most Bible colleges, Ozark Christian has been
forced to trim the budget. Unfortunately, one of the positions that has been cut is the position that Jeff
Robertson held. Please pray for God's leading and provision in supplying employment for Jeff and peace
of mind for his family. Jeff will be finished as of the end of May. If anyone has any leads that might be
helpful for Jeff please give him a call. -- Barbara
Cousin Harold Schultz has been admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester in very serious
condition today (Monday). He had a seizure and fell and hit his head pretty hard and was hospitalized
for that, then had a stroke at 11: 30 a.m. Monday morning. He doesn't recognize anyone, so he needs
everyone's prayers at this time. Weather conditions were very bad in Rochester on Monday night for
anyone who wanted to see him.
UPDATE: Dale went up to see Harold on Tuesday morning and they had determined he hadn't had a
stroke but another seizure. Harold was cognizant and wanted them to take a tube out.
4/2/ Update: Harold improved so quickly on April 1st that he was able to go home. Dale said that
people were right to be worried about him because he was in grave condition when he was admitted
to St. Mary's, but as the seizure lifted he improved quickly. He hasn't had a seizure since his brain
aneurysm when he was 12 or 14, so no one was expecting this.
Just a quick note asking for prayer.
I got a phone call at 8pm from Bobs' work saying that someone needed to come get him and take him
to the hospital. I was stuck here without a car and Dale had just finished singing, so he went and got
him. They are there now. All I know is, he was having chest pains and his left arm was numb and his
hand was purple. He has lost about 50# in the last 2 months.

Update on Bob: It was a late night, but they didn't find anything at the hospital. It was a nurse from
his work that called and she had taken his blood sugar and it was fine. He evidently had chest pains,
his left arm was numb, and his hand was purple. They did several tests but didn't find anything and
sent him home. Thanks for the prayers.
